PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control a power supply to a data processing terminal in accordance with a mounting state of the data processing terminal.SOLUTION: A docking station of an embodiment includes: a power supply terminal; first and second application means; first and second detection means; and change means. The power supply terminal is configured to contact with a power source terminal provided in a mounted data processing terminal. The first and second application means are configured to apply an operating voltage of the data processing device and an inspection voltage lower than the operating voltage thereof to the power supply terminal. The first detection means is configured to detect contact between the power supply terminal and the power source terminal on the basis of an electric state of the power supply terminal in a state where the inspection voltage is applied. The second detection means is configured to detect a movement of a movable member moving when the data processing terminal is mounted. The change means is configured to change a voltage application state from the first and second application means so as to form a state where the inspection voltage is applied to the power supply terminal in accordance with the detection of the movement, and form a state where the operating voltage is applied to the power supply terminal in accordance with detection of the contact.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
