PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of recovered and discarded toner by improving an efficiency at transfer, besides, to unnecessitate a cleaning device, to simplify an image recorder, besides, to prevent the generation of the discarded toner. SOLUTION: Around an image carrier 101, a fine particle layer forming means 103 is installed in addition to an electrostatic charger 102, an image writing device 104, a developing device 105 and a transfer device 106, etc. Then, the nearly uniform fine particle layer of powdery body whose particle diameter is smaller than that of toner is formed by the means 103 on the surface of the image carrier 101. Since the toner image resulting from visualizing a latent image is formed on the fine particle layer in an overlaid state, non-electrical attractive force to the image carrier 101 is reduced, so that the transfer efficiency is improved. The transfer efficiency is improved even by imparting an ultrasonic vibration to the toner image before reaching the transfer position. |
