PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method capable of imparting stable photographic characteristics to the both of a color photosensitive material containing an emulsion with a high silver bromide content and a color photosensitive material containing an emulsion with a high silver chloride content even when they are developed with a common color developer. SOLUTION: In this method for treating both of a color photosensitive material containing an emulsion with a high silver bromide content and a color photosensitive material containing an emulsion with a high silver chloride content by using a common color developer, the replenishing amt. (R) (ml/m<2> ) of the developer replenisher for the former material and its bromine ion concn. (a) (mol/l), and the bromine iron concn. (b) (mol/l) in a developer replenisher for the latter are controlled to satisfy the relation of 3.0<=R×(b-a)<=7.0.
