PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an article management system which manages articles for a long time by using tags to manage articles in an office or a home. SOLUTION: Radio waves of tag information transmitted from tag units 181 to 18n given to articles to be managed are received by four sensor units 191 to 194 connected to an article management device main body 1, and positions of tag units 181 to 18n attached to articles are recognized on the basis of tag information at this time and tag information reception time information at the time of reception by sensor units 191 to 194. A means to register management information in tag units 181 to 18n is given to the main body 1, and registration information is periodically transmitted from tag units 181 to 18n on the basis of the management information, or registration information is transmitted from tag units 181 to 18n in response to an inquiry from the main body 1, or registration information from the tag unit side is transmitted, thus confirming the arrangement positions of articles. |
