Provided is an elastic wave device less likely to experience rippling. An IDT electrode 3 is provided on a piezoelectric substrate 2. In the IDT electrode 3, a plurality of first electrode fingers 13 and a plurality of second electrode fingers 14 are interdigitated. A region where the plurality of first electrode fingers 13 and the plurality of second electrode fingers 14 overlap with one another when viewed in an elastic wave propagation direction is an excitation region. Configured on both sides of a center section of this excitation region is an edge section where the speed of sound is lower than in the center section. A first busbar 11 and a second busbar 12 have an inside busbar section 11A, 12A, a center busbar section 11B, 12B, and an outside busbar section 11C, 12C. There are provided a first and second offset electrode finger 17, 18 that extend from the inside busbar sections 11A, 12A toward distal ends of the second electrode fingers 14 or first electrode fingers 13. |
