摘要 A multi-channel optical communication module is provided to facilitate optical connection by using an optical connector holding plural optical fibers with wide pitches and a thick core diameter. In a multi-channel optical communication module(10), a signal medium converting element is fixed on a substrate(11). The signal medium converting element converts an optical signal and an electrical signal of each optical action point(121) by aligning plural optical action points for emitting or receiving the signal light, at the first predetermined pitch. An optical waveguide(13) has plural optical waveguide cores(13a) including first and second optical signal stages(131,132). The first optical signal stage is arranged at the same pitch of the first pitch and optically coupled with plural optical action points respectively. The second optical signal stage opposite to the first optical signal stage is aligned at the second pitch wider than the first pitch. An optical connector coupling part(14) is fixed on the substrate, to optically combine the second optical signal stage to an optical fiber(21) by combining an optical connector(20) holding end portions(21a) aligned at the same pitch of the second pitch.
