A label placing head(3) for loading a film label(2) into an injection tool(1) for molding the plastic product is mounted at the end of a moving mechanism. Labels are sucked onto the head which has a variable cross-section and held by an electrostatic charge. Enlargement of the head presses the label against the tool wall. The cylindrical placing head(3) moves horizontally with a label into the injection molding tool before increasing in diameter to place the label in desired position on the tool wall.
