PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic document circulation system capable of surely circulating an electronic document among all community members in a highly usable state. SOLUTION: When a supervisor in the electronic document circulation system 1 edits an electronic document which has been temporarily registered and circulated by using a supervisor's computer PCk and requests a database server SV to register the edited electronic document, the database server SV registers the edited electronic document in a database DB. When the supervisor performs changing operation for changing the setting of unread/already-read information of all users permitted to circulate the electronic document to an unread state, the supervisor's computer PCk requests the database server SV to change the unread/already-read information and the database server SV changes the setting of the unread/already-read information of all users of the electronic document to the unread state.
