<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolyte solution, and a battery using the same, capable of restraining self-discharge even under a high-temperature condition. <P>SOLUTION: A wound electrode body 20 formed by laminating and winding a cathode 21 and an anode 22 through a separator is provided inside a battery can. The separator is impregnated in the electrolyte solution. The electrolyte solution contains ethylene sulphide, vinylene carbonate, LiPF<SB>6</SB>and light metal salt such as difluoro-[oxolato-O,O'] lithium borate within a given range.
