PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost fuel cell module using interconnectorless fuel cells capable of being used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: Interconnectorless solid electrolyte fuel cells 10 are arranged in matrix form to form each assembly 12, and a plurality of such assemblies are accommodated in a power generation chamber 11. Electric charges generated in air electrodes 103 of the fuel cells belonging to one assembly owing to the power generating action are led out to an air electrode side collector plate 33 situated over by the air electrodes themselves 103 and also an air electrode side collector member 34 installed between the air electrodes to make current collecting, while electric charges generated in fuel electrodes 101 of the fuel cells belonging to the assembly are collected by a common fuel electrode side collector plate 39. All fuel cell assemblies are put in series connection to generate a DC power. A LaCrOx series oxide layer 111 is formed on the top of each air electrode 103, and this part is contacted with the air electrode side collector plate 33 so that the durability is enhanced.
