<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly accurate positional information in real time if necessary to various kinds of terminals while protecting privacy without requiring a special terminal. <P>SOLUTION: When a terminal 50 has no map information though it can display a map, corresponding map information is read from a map data base 28 by a map information server 30. In a reception server 24, positional information of a vehicle 10, acquired by a vehicle position acquisition server 32 and map information corresponding to the positional information are synthesized and transmitted to the terminal 50 which has performed a request via a terminal connection part 22. In the terminal 50, a map and a vehicle position are displayed on a display. When the terminal 50 has the map information, only the positional information of the vehicle is transmitted to the terminal 50 which performs the request.
