The present invention relates to: a strength improver composition for hydraulic powders, which contains a reaction product produced by the reaction of (a1) at least one compound selected from polyhydric alcohols each having a valency of 2 to 5 inclusive with (a2) an aldehyde compound or a ketone compound; and a method for improving the strength of a hydraulic composition hardened product, which comprises adding the strength improver composition to a hydraulic composition.
