PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus including a conveyance auxiliary roller for stabilizing conveyance of a sheet, and prevent turn-up of a sheet when the rear end of the sheet is separated from the conveyance auxiliary roller and in turn prevent scattering of a toner held on the sheet, while preventing discharge when the leading end of the sheet is brought into contact with the conveyance auxiliary roller.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus maintains a voltage to be applied to a conveyance auxiliary roller to have a polarity opposite to a charge polarity of a toner until the leading end of a sheet is brought into contact with the conveyance auxiliary roller, and switches the voltage to be applied to the conveyance auxiliary roller to a ground voltage during a period from when the rear end of the sheet is separated from a conveyance belt until when the rear end is separated from the conveyance auxiliary roller (from time t3 to time t4).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
