Arrangement for moving heavy objects. The arrangement has a sliding member 2, which is fixed by a coupling member 1 to a slide bar 9. The coupling member 1 comprises two lever arms 6, which are articulated to one another like scissors, the arms 4 being articulated to one end of the lever arms 6. At the other end of the lever arms 6 are press tips 8. The arms 4 are themselves articulated by a joint 3. The sliding member 2 has been coupled to the joint 3, so that under the force of the sliding member 2 the arms 4 and the lever arms 6 transmit the said force, pressing the press tip 8 against the slide bar 9. <IMAGE>
