PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strike a balance between the wear life and the high-speed durability of a pneumatic tire for a two-wheeler. SOLUTION: By increasing the base rubber gage of a base rubber layer 26 from a tire equatorial plane CL side to a tread end 28E, the volume of the base rubber layer 26 is increased more than a conventional pneumatic tire for a two-wheeler in which the base rubber layer has a constant gage, the heat generation in the tire during the heavy-load travel or the high-speed travel can be more suppressed, and the high-speed durability is enhanced more. Since the wear of the pneumatic tire for the two-wheeler on the shoulder side is smaller than that on the center side, the base rubber layer 26 is not exposed to the tire surface in the terminating end of the wear even if the base rubber gage is gradually increased toward the tread end 28E side like the base rubber layer 26 of the present embodiment.
