摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display gradation according to the proportion of time-division without causing the deterioration of image quality due to the lowering of frame frequency by increasing the driving frequency of a driver IC and carrying out gradation display. SOLUTION: In order to provide a complementary structure to two thin film transistors(TFT) and to connect the output terminals to a transparent electrode as one of the pixel electrodes of a liquid crystal device, ITO is formed and etched through a photomask 8 to form an electrode 17, and PTFT 13, NTFT 22 and the electrode 17 comprising a transparent electrically conductive film are thus formed on the same glass substrate 50. A liquid crystal composition is held between the 1st substrate and a 2nd substrate with a means of aligning liquid crystal molecules in a certain direction, a driver IC of TAB form is connected to leads on the 1st substrate and a polarizing plate is stuck to the outside to obtain a transmission type liquid crystal display device. A signal in writing unit time for an arbitrary pixel is time-divided without altering writing time in a screen and gradation is displayed according to the proportion of the time-division.</p>
