Provided are a rubber composition for a tire sidewall which is improved in heat resistance and heat build-up characteristics, and a tire containing a sidewall comprising the composition. The rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber material; and 0.3-5.0 parts by weight of magnesium aluminum hydroxide carbonate. Preferably the rubber material comprises 40-60 wt% of a natural rubber; 20-50 wt% of a butadiene rubber; and 20-50 wt% of a brominated isobutylene/p-methylstyrene(BIMS) copolymer. |
