PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar battery which has a high curve factor by improving energy conversion efficiency and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A solar battery comprises: a p-type single-crystal silicon substrate 1 which has first and second main surfaces 1A and 1B; an n-type diffusion layer 2 formed on the first main surface 1A of the p-type single-crystal silicon substrate; a first collector electrode 7 including a plurality of grid electrodes 7G formed on the n-type diffusion layer 2 and a bus electrode 7B connecting the grid electrodes 7G to make external connections; and a second collector electrode formed on the side of the second main surface 1B. The n-type diffusion layer 2 is characterized in being lower in impurity density in a first region 2T including the bus electrode 7B than in a second region 2D apart from the bus electrode 7B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
