摘要 A directivity control apparatus controls a directivity of a sound collected by a sound collecting unit including a plurality of microphones. A beam forming unit forms a beam in a direction from the sound collecting unit toward a sound source corresponding to a position designated in an image on a display unit. A magnification setting unit sets a magnification for magnifying or demagnifying the image in the display according to an input. The beam forming unit also changes a size of the formed beam in accordance with the magnification set by the magnification setting unit.

A directivity control apparatus for controlling a directivity of a sound collected by a sound collector, including a plurality of microphones, the directivity control apparatus comprising: a memory that stores instructions; and a processor that, when executing the instructions stored in the memory, performs operations comprising: displaying a first image on a display; receiving a first user input designating a position within the first image; generating, based on the first image, a second image having a center different from a center of the first image and corresponding to a partial area of the first image including the designated position, when the designated position by the first user input does not correspond to the center of the first image, and displaying the second image on the display; forming a directivity of the sound collected by the sound collector, wherein a direction of the formed directivity is determined based on the center of the second image; setting a magnification for magnifying or demagnifying the second image on the display according to a second user input to the second image on the display; and changing a size of a beam corresponding to the formed directivity in accordance with the set magnification.
