An object of the present invention is to provide a vinyl chloride resin having a high void fraction and having micropores in the interior of particles thereof, a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin which is excellent in performance of a gelated product, capability of gelating and heat resistance, and a method for producing the same; a pipe and a joint made from a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin which are excellent in resistance to heat and impact; a plate made from a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin which are excellent in resistance to heat, impact and chemicals; a molded article made from a heat-resistant vinyl chloride resin which is excellent in smoothness and resistance to heat and has good appearance; and a pipe made from a heat-resistant vinyl chloride resin which is excellent in smoothness and resistance to heat or excellent in smoothness and resistance to heat and SC. The present invention relates to a vinyl chloride resin and a chlorinated vinyl chloride resin and a method for the production thereof.
