PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus with good durability having good filtration efficiency and reverse washing efficiency. SOLUTION: The filter device is provided with a pleated filter 31 formed to a cylindrical shape as a whole such that creasing of inner and outer sides of the pleat are aligned circumferentially respectively; and a pair of end plates 71, 72 made of elastic material which keeps both ends of the filter 31 buried by a predetermined depth respectively and which are integrally fixed to the ends.
