PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To povide a new polyurethane foam obtained by essentially solving the problems in the conventional rigid polyurethane and its manufacturing method, which use an HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) as a foaming agent, from the view point of the solubility of the HFC to a polyol component, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the rigid polyurethane foam which contains a 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane as a foaming agent and which is obtainable by mixing a polyisocyanate component, a polyol component, a catalyst, and an auxiliary and foaming the mixture in the presence of the foaming agent, the auxilary contains an ester having the structural formula: R1-COO-R2-O-CO-R3.
