The trabecular bone analyzer of may perform trabecular bone analysis on a tomographic image D. In the tomographic image D, trabeculae forming a network may appear without overlapping. Therefore, such trabecular bone analysis may more accurately quantify trabecular bone.

A trabecular bone analyzer, comprising: a radiation source configured to emit radiation at a discrete number of intermittent periods; a radiation source moving unit configured to move the radiation source in a linear direction along an axis of a subject; a detector configured to detect radiation that has passed through the subject at the discrete number of intermittent periods; a detector moving unit configured to move the detector synchronously with movement of the radiation source in the linear direction and maintain a consistent distance between the radiation source and the detector; an image generator configured to generate images based on radiation detected at each of the discrete number of intermittent periods by the detector as the radiation source and the detector move in the linear direction; and an image reconstructing computing device configured to divide each of the images into a plurality of image sections according to an angle of incidence of radiation and connect image sections having a same angle of incidence of radiation to form multiple long images along the axis of the subject, wherein each of the multiple long images has an angle of incidence of radiation that is different from others of the multiple long images.
