Liquid herbicidal compositions comprising aqueous solutions containing: (a) N-phosphonomethylglycine or one of its derivatives, in the amount of at least 40 grams of glyphosate equivalent per liter of solution; and (b) a surfactant having activating character, of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R is an alkyl radical having 4 to 12 carbon atoms, n is an integer from 2 to 10 and M is a hydrogen, sodium, ammonium or alkylammonium.
