PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and stably manufacture rollable optical fiber ribbons.SOLUTION: A rollable optical fiber ribbon 3 is manufactured by sequentially performing following steps comprising; a coating step for inserting four or more single-core jacketed optical fibers 2 into a coating dice 11 and applying an ultraviolet curable resin on the periphery of each single-core jacketed optical fiber 2; a first irradiation step for concentrating the single-core jacketed optical fibers 2 at a concentrator 30 such that they are parallelly arranged on a single plane, while irradiating the single-core jacketed optical fibers 2 with ultraviolet rays from a first irradiation unit 20 to partially cure the ultraviolet curable resin thereon; a separation forming step for forming prescribed separated sections 4 between two adjacent single-core jacketed optical fibers 2 using a separation jig 41; and a second irradiation step for irradiating the ultraviolet curable resin of the single-core jacketed optical fibers 2 having the separated sections 4 with ultraviolet rays from a second irradiation unit 50 to completely cure the ultraviolet curable resin. |
