<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material for a lithium secondary battery using a divanadium pentoxide gel having a specific shape and physical property so as to improve cycle characteristics, to provide the manufacturing method, and to provide the lithium secondary battery using it. <P>SOLUTION: By spray-drying a sol solution of divanadium pentoxide, the positive electrode material for the lithium secondary battery which is a divanadium pentoxide hydrated gel expressed by a formula (1) V<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>-nH<SB>2</SB>O (0<n<0.5)... (1) (n is decimal number) and which is composed of spherical particles of which the half-value width obtained from a diffraction line in the vicinity of 2θ=7° in an X-ray diffraction analysis using CuK<SB>α</SB>beam is 3.0° or more and of which 90% undersize integration distribution D<SB>90</SB>is 15 μm or less is fabricated, and the lithium secondary battery equipped with a positive electrode using this positive electrode material is constituted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
