<p>A biaxially oriented polyethylene 2,6-naphthalate film strip having a greater Young's modulus in the transverse direction than in the longitudinal direction, a small heat shrinkage ratio in the longitudinal direction and a suitable surface coarseness (Ra«12 nm). This film has flatness, smoothness and durability applicable to the field of magnetic recording, and is effective for producing magnetic recording media not generating skew distortion.</p> |
