PURPOSE: To extend the drive time of a battery by throwing a power supply required for main operation at each certain time interval, breaking it after a certain amount of time, throuwing power when a request signal is received in case of breaking, and stopping the break control of the power supply when using an external power supply. CONSTITUTION: A time control part 5 sets a time interval T0 for throwing a power supply for feeding power to a main operation part 7 and a supply time interval T1 . When a power-saving function is selected, the completion of a time T is waited for if power is being fed currently. When the time T1 ends, the power supply to the operation part 7 is broken and another processing is made unless key input from an external input part 3 and a request for rest due to an external factor are given. If there is a request for reset, power is fed to the operation part 7. When an external power supply can be used, a power-saving function can be automatically canceled, thus avoiding an unneeded power consumption and extending the drive time with the same battery of a device. |
