PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot plating device and a backup member for the spot plating device, capable of achieving stable high-quality spot plating in which a plating liquid does not stay while keeping adhesiveness and problems of "absence of plating" and "blur" are solved, in a spot plating of a long metal bar 3 obtained through punching in a predetermined shape, the shape of an electronic products such as a terminal and a connector; and to provide a backup member for the spot plating device.SOLUTION: Two or more backup members pressing and closely contacting at least a part 30 to be plated of a metal bar 3 to the outer peripheral part of a support drum 10 are disposed in parallel spacing from each other by a prescribed distance (W) in the width direction of the metal bar 3, and have a linear endless belt 41A composed by a belt rod 45 circulated while tightly wound around a plurality of support rollers. The linear endless belt 41A presses at least the part 30 to be plated of the metal bar 3 toward the outer peripheral part of the support drum 10. |
