PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall material having excellent construction property, waterproofing function, thermal insulation function or the like. SOLUTION: This exterior wall material A is constituted by forming a decorative face 4 like substantially horizontal face, a step decorative face 6 on which a tip of the decorative face 4 protrudes downward in an L-shape, an upper face 7 protruding inward along the step decorative face 6 and the decorative face 4, an innermost piece 8 protruding a tip of the upper face 7 downward, an insertion piece 9 protruding a tip of the innermost piece 8 onto a downstream side, an engaging channel 10 having substantially U shape by the upper face 7, the innermost piece 8, and the insertion piece 9, an insertion clearance 11 by the upper face 7 and the engaging channel 10, a male type connection part 12 forming a recessed and protruding part 4b on the step decorative face 6, and a first waterproofing piece 13 and a second waterproofing piece 18 in an upstream side end part of the decorative face 4.
