<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of effectively removing a harmful substance easy to dissolve in water. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell system having a fuel cell stack, a first tank for a highly-concentrated liquid fuel, a second tank for diluting the liquid fuel and a third tank for water, a first connection tube for connecting a second tank liquid surface upper section and a third tank water surface lower section is arranged, a second connection tube for connecting the third tank water surface lower section and the second tank liquid surface upper section is arranged, a third connection tube for connecting a cathode discharge side and a third tank water surface upper section is arranged, and a discharge port of a gas discharged from an anode and a cathode is arranged to the third tank. The third tank has a horizontal section for connecting the first and second tubes, and a vertical section extending upward from a part of the upper surface of the horizontal section and connecting the third connection tube and the discharge port, and has a maintenance control means for always maintaining the water surface of third tank at a position higher than the upper surface of the horizontal section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
