<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more quickly collate input biometric information. <P>SOLUTION: This authentication apparatus includes: an imaging unit 104 for photographing a guided finger and a guided palm, a collation data storing means for storing a preregistered registration finger image and a preregistered registration palm image, and a collation unit for collating the photographed finger image and palm image with the registration finger image and the registration palm image.
