PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can easily perform assembly and replacement of an encoder scale for replacement without breakage even when the encoder scale for replacement is made of metal or the like fragile for deformation.SOLUTION: In an encoder scale for replacement formed of scales for generating a signal in accordance with movement of carriage which is fitted to an image formation apparatus and mounts a recording head thereon, scale material 106a provided with the scales formed with metal or the like is held by a protective Mylar 110 from a direction which gets to the lower side when the scale material is fitted to the image formation apparatus. Further, when fitting the scale material to the image formation apparatus, the protective Mylar 110 is suppressed with an adhesive tape 111 from a direction which gets to the upper side when being fitted to the image formation apparatus. The scale material can be assembled to the image formation apparatus to complete replacement in such a state as to prevent deformation, breakage and staining of the scale material 106a as it is and the replacement and assembling of the scale material can be easily performed without breakage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
