PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward swing type rotary blade that has a strengthened pivotal support structure of each of blades and shows more enhanced safety and is capable of preventing entangled clinging of grass in the vicinity of a part where the blade is pivotally supported on the rotor, from being caused and exhibiting further improved cutting quality. SOLUTION: The pivotal support sections 23 are arranged on the prolonged lines of the four sides of a square of the rotor 2 respectively. Each of the pivotal support sections has a surface coincident with the prolonged line. Respective blades 1 are radially and projectingly fitted to the pivotal support sections 23 so as to have an inclination in relation to the prolonged line. One end of the blade 1 is pivotally supported on the rotor 2 in a freely rotatable manner; wherein in each of the blade 1, a curved cutting face 11 having a rake angle is formed on the side facing the rotational direction (indicated by an arrow A) of the rotor 2 and a back cutting edge 12 is formed at the front end on the opposite side to the side facing the rotational direction.
