PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install plural speakers on a passenger conveyor body in a travel direction of a footboard, and output a voice from only the speaker corresponding to a position of a passenger, for suppressing a broadcast volume of the passenger conveyor and suppressing background noise to the surrounding.SOLUTION: An escalator comprises: an escalator body; plural speakers 4 disposed on the escalator body in a travel direction of a foot step 1 of the escalator body; passenger position estimation means for estimating a position of a passenger on the escalator body who is moving in the travel direction according to movement of the foot step 1; and a control part 10 for controlling on/off of broadcast of the respective speakers 4 according to the position of the passenger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
