PURPOSE: A method and a device for fixing a radiation-curable gel-ink image to a substrate are provided to efficiently harden ink on a substrate by locating a flattening member in a nip to be contacted with an ink support side. CONSTITUTION: A device for fixing a radiation-curable gel-ink image to a substrate comprises a flattening member(10), a support member(20), and a first radiation source(30). The flattening member is rotatably located in a nip to be contacted with an ink support side. The first radiation source is located in the nip in order to radiate ink to the ink support side. The support member is contacted with the substrate.
