<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out radiating beam control at high precision and to suppress the discomfort feeling in switching of modes, when adapting a constitution forming a beam distribution pattern in two types of modes in a projector type headlamp for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A part of a reflector 24 is constituted capable of moving downward, by being separated from other general reflecting part 24B as a movable reflecting part 24A. An additional reflector 34, reflecting the beam from a light source 22a forward closer toward the side of an optical axis Ax, is installed in the vicinity behind the above. Thus, the beam from the light source 22a is made incident on the additional reflector 34 through a space between the two reflecting parts, when the moving reflecting part 24A is moved downward separated from the general reflecting part 24B.
