PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate that has a (meth)acrylic resin film laminated on both faces of a polarizer, has sufficient durability (light resistance), and eliminates the risk of mixing of foreign substances derived from an ultraviolet absorber; and a liquid crystal panel using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a polarizer 1 including a polarizer 10, a first (meth)acrylic resin film 21 laminated on one face of the polarizer, and a second (meth)acrylic resin film 22 laminated on the other face of the polarizer, where the first (meth)acrylic resin film 21 contains an ultraviolet absorber and has a transmittance over the entire wavelength range from 190 to 380 nm of 20% or less, and the second (meth)acrylic resin film 22 contains the ultraviolet absorber in an amount of 1 weight% or less.
