PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethanol composition less in impurities caused by an ethanol manufacturing method without relaying on petrochemistry feedstock and using fermentation technique.SOLUTION: There is provided an ethanol composition containing at least 92 wt.% of ethanol and 95 wppm to 1,000 wppm of isopropanol, an ethanol composition containing at least 95 wt.% of ethanol, at least 95 wppm of isopropanol and acetaldehyde where the amount of acetaldehyde is smaller than the amount of isopropanol, an ethanol composition containing at least 92 wt.% of ethanol and at least two kinds of other alcohol selected from n-propanol, isopropanol, butanol, 2-butanol and isobutanol, where one of at least two kinds of other alcohol is isopropanol existing at least 95 wppm and the ethanol composition contains practically no methanol or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
