PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized compact printing apparatus simple in operability and low in cost and enabling full color printing, selective printing and characteristic printing. SOLUTION: In a printing apparatus equipped with a plurality of printing plate drums 1A having printing plates 1B wound around the peripheral surfaces thereof, developing devices 3 for supplying ink to the plate drums, an intermediate transfer device 4 having a transfer member 4-1 receiving the transfer of ink to be printed from the plate drums, a printing paper supply device 7 for supplying printing paper to the paper transfer device 5 and a cleaning device 6 for cleaning the transfer member after the completion of printing, the transfer member 4-1 of the intermediate transfer device 4 comprises a transfer belt and a plurality of pressure means 4-1 for selectively pressurizing or releasing (depressurizing) the transfer belt with respect to the plate drums and cam mechanisms 4-6, of which the number is less than that of the pressure means, pressurizing and depressurizing the pressure means with respect to the plate drums are provided in the intermediate transfer device. |
