The floorboard, for a hard flooring, has a carrier board (31) of a wood material with an upper covering layer (35) and a lower protective layer (36). The carrier board has a center layer (39) with elasticity and a given density e.g. a chipboard, and upper and lower layers (38) of a material with a different characteristic and a higher density e.g. medium or high density fiberboards.
