PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit for a hybrid type saddle-riding type vehicle which can suppress the hybrid type saddle-riding type vehicle from being increased in size even when the unit is mounted with an electric motor in addition to an engine.SOLUTION: A power unit 12 for a hybrid type saddle-riding type vehicle comprises: an engine 16 which generates engine torque; an electric motor 40 which generates electric motor torque by power of a driving battery; an output shaft 34 to which is fixed a driving wheel; a deceleration mechanism 90 for an engine which is provided in an engine torque transmission path through which engine torque is transmitted from the engine to the output shaft and increases the engine torque and then transmits the torque to the output shaft; and a deceleration mechanism 91 for an electric motor which is provided in an electric motor torque transmission path through which electric motor torque is transmitted from the electric motor to the output shaft, increases the electric motor torque and is arranged so that the increased electric motor torque is further increased by at least part of the deceleration mechanism for the engine and transmitted to the output shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
