PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared sensor for sensing masking at predetermined time intervals in order to reduce power consumption and capable of starting a means for sensing masking without regard to the predetermined intervals once the cause of an error is removed and to provide a security system that uses the infrared sensor to keep users from feeling anxiety or distrust. SOLUTION: A human body sensor comprises a human body sensing part for sensing human bodies, and a mask sensing part that is started at predetermined time intervals for sensing whether or not there is masking. The human body sensor is provided with a storage part for storing information on whether or not there is masking, sensed by the mask sensing part, and a mask sensing starting part for starting the mask sensing part every time the human body sensing part senses a human body provided that the information stored in the storage part indicates that there is masking.
