PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling color grouping of vehicles on a coating factory are provided to enhance a color grouping efficiency by collecting/analyzing information for the vehicles to be arrived at a color selecting field and transport equipments, and applying the analyzed information to a control logic. CONSTITUTION: A wireless reader(110) receives a wireless signal corresponding to vehicle I/O(Input/Output) information of the color selecting field. A process controller(120) controls driving of the transport equipment for transporting the vehicle to a corresponding position by analyzing the wireless signal supplied from the wireless reader and controls I/O by tracking the vehicle I/O information. An I/O controller(130) controls an I/O order through data communication with the process controller, manages a manufacturing operation condition, and monitors the vehicle I/O information. A remote monitoring controller(140) communicates data with the I/O controller, monitors a color grouping process, and manages the manufacturing operation condition.
