The motor has a support tube (70) arranged on a flange (80), and a support arrangement (60) arranged in an inner side of the tube. An external rotor (22) has a shaft (34) rotatably supported in the arrangement, and an internal stator (50) has an inner recess (55) for fastening the stator to an outer side of the tube. The stator is coated with an insulating plastic for forming a support between a stator core and the flange. A sealing ring (90) is arranged between the support and the flange for sealing a cavity (78) between the stator and the outer side against penetration of moisture. An independent claim is also included for a miniature or micro fan with an electronically commutated external rotor motor.
