Device for treating glaucoma of the eye

Disclosed is a laser catheter for treating glaucoma. The laser catheter comprises a light-guiding fibre arrangement (5). Light can be coupled into the fibre at the proximal end of said fibre arrangement. A light-exiting surface (4) where light exits the fibre is provided at the distal end of the fibre arrangement. The invention is characterised in that the light-exiting surface encloses an angle of approximately between 30 DEG and 70 DEG , preferably 37 DEG , together with the longitudinal axis of the fibre arrangement.
