A device for securing an object (10) to an end of a hollow post or pipe (15) comprising a bar (25) transversely disposed in the hollow post or pipe (15) by passing substantially the entire length of the bar (25) through an opening (26) in the side of the hollow post or pipe (15). The bar (25) being attached to the object (10) by a removable fastener (21) axially disposed in the hollow post or pipe (15) and concealed within the object (10).
