PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for obtaining an image with a low gloss. SOLUTION: The image forming method comprises a process where toner composed of a material mainly composed of a polyester based resin is fixed to a recording medium so as to form an image using a fixing device. The polyester based resin contains block polyester mainly composed of a block copolymer and amorphous polyester with crystallinity lower than that of the block polyester. The block polyester includes crystalline blocks obtained by condensing alcohol components and carboxylic acid components and amorphous blocks with crystallinity lower than that of the crystalline blocks. Provided that the weight average molecular weight of the block polyester is defined as Mw(B), and the weight average molecular weight of the amorphous polyester is defined as Mw(A), the relation of 0.5≤Mw(B)/Mw(A)<4 is satisfied, 4×10<SP>4</SP>≤Mw(B)≤3×10<SP>5</SP>is satisfied, and the blending ratio between the block polyester and the amorphous polyester is 5:95 to 35:65 by weigh ratio.
