PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent sealing material which solves the problem that when the transparent sealing material is used in a severe environment that water tends to extremely easily intrude into the transparent sealing material, including in the case where a transparent plastic plate having a higher moisture permeability than that of a glass is used for a front face plate and the transparent sealing material is used in water for a long period of time, there is the possibility that a moisture intrusion amount exceeds a dispersible moisture content, and whitening caused by wet heat cannot be suppressed.SOLUTION: A transparent sealing material is formed of a photocurable resin composition and satisfies the following physical properties (A) to (C): (A) a water absorption coefficient of the transparent sealing material when left to stand still for 48 hours in environment of 85°C and 85%RH is 0.5 mass% or less; (B) a haze (H) of a sample obtained by bonding the transparent sealing material while sandwiched between a glass and a transparent plastic plate is 5% or less; and (C) a haze variation amount (H-H) between the haze (H) and a haze (H) after a wet heat test when the sample has been left to stand still for 500 hours in environment of 85°C and 85%RH is 5% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
