PURPOSE: An anti-theft device of a car using a navigator and a method thereof are provided to prevent a car stealing because a navigation detects a car deviating a constant distance from a registered spot and inform the result to a car owner by telematics. CONSTITUTION: An anti-theft device of a car using a navigator comprises a transmitting and receiving unit(100) and a location detection unit(200), telematics(300), and a control unit(600). The transmitting and receiving unit periodically receives data related to a car location from a GPS(Global Positioning System) satellite(10). The location detection unit detects a car moving state by circulating the information related to the car location corresponding to the data related to the car location data. The telematics receives information related to a car stealing state from the external communication device. When the location detection unit detects car moving, the control unit decides whether the car moves out of a preset allowable movement range or not and informs to a car owner through the telematics. |
